How it works:

The construction field is flown over weekly by RTK/PPK drone – civil engineering, structural engineering and outdoor facilities in a single pass.

RGB sensors capture construction progress, optionally supplemented by LiDAR for terrain models and volume calculations.

All image and sensor data flows directly into the FlyNex Cloud. The flight log and flight hours are recorded automatically – legally compliant and complete.

Data analysis

The Enterprise Platform processes the captured data into georeferenced orthophotos, point clouds and 3D models. The analysis delivers three concrete results from a single flight:

  • Contruction progress & inventory: Vision AI automatically counts installed components – windows, sheet piles, floor slabs, sleepers. The chronological comparison with the construction schedule shows: 20 of 43 windows installed in the “Façade” trade – progress 46%. Each component is documented, counted and is reliable as a performance record for billing.

  • Quantity determination & tar: Volume calculations for excavation, bulk material and stockpiles are carried out automatically from point clouds – up to date daily, with up to 99% accuracy when ground control points are used. At the same time, the current drone images are overlaid with planning documents (CAD, BIM, DXF). Deviations between planning and execution are detected and addressed as a ticket – before they lead to construction stops or rework.

  • Area categorisation & sealing verification: Image segmentation automatically classifies which areas of the construction field are sealed, greened or undeveloped – verifiable to environmental authorities. In road and pipeline construction, it can be documented how much asphalt was installed or how much agricultural land was used – the basis for compensation calculations and official verification obligations.

All results are georeferenced, time-stamped and archived in an audit-proof manner.

Reporting & Migration

FlyNex generates automated progress reports, quantity balances, inventory lists and evidence-preservation reports – audit-proof, with georeference and time stamp. Via standardised interfaces, all results flow directly into existing ERP, BIM or AVA systems. No media discontinuity, no manual transfer.

Export formats include PDF, CSV, DXF, IFC and LAS/LAZ, among others. Connection to systems such as Trimble, Leica, AutoCAD, Revit or ArchiCAD is carried out via API and can be fully automated.
