Four Founders. One Mission.

Experienced experts with a shared passion for innovation: To improve workflows and quality of life through optimized infrastructure processes.

The idea that drives us.

We believe that the way people access accurate data has a critical impact on a sustainable future.

By enabling transparent, fast, and easy access to data generation with new technologies, we are transforming the way people work. Our software enables companies in the construction, real estate, energy, and telecommunications sectors to drive digital transformation forward.

As a result, we offer an end-to-end data generation platform for enterprises that makes automated drones and AI the core components for data insights and real-time decisions.

The Founders.

Three men with drone expertise, one geoscientist, and one realization: What valuable information drones can provide is mainly unknown in everyday business. So in September 2015, we joined forces to use our expertise and professional software to offer a platform that generates, manages, and analyzes data efficiently.

The FlyNex Log.

2022

Integration of the Mission Planner Drone Harmony

At the beginning of the year, the mission planner software Drone Harmony will be fully integrated into the FlyNex Platform. This will enable customers to directly create flight patterns for data collection of complex structures in the FlyNex Platform. Data can be thus collected in an automated manner and with consistent quality.

2021

Further Financing in the Millions

In a new round of financing, STIHL, HTGF, TGFS – Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen, GPS Ventures, and Snowflake Ventures participate in FlyNex. With the funding in the millions, FlyNex penetrates the Latin American market, and the FlyNex team grows to 40 employees.

The FlyNex Platform Is Born

Map2Fly, Map2Fly Pro, Geosphere, and FlyNex Enterprise become the FlyNex Platform. The FlyNex platform combines all already known product features into one intelligent workflow. It enables companies to present all process steps, from planning to data collection and analysis of acquired data, in just one platform.

2020

New Release for the 5th Anniversary

FlyNex celebrates its 5th anniversary in July 2020. Shortly before that, the drone solution Map2Fly will be released in the free and professional version Map2Fly Pro in an updated and revised form. In addition to various visual adjustments, different features could expand the functionality. Map2Fly exceeded the mark of 10,000,000 “What’s here?” queries during 2020.

Notable Project Participations

At the beginning of the new year, we were able to complete two important Milestone projects successfully. Firstly, the first BVLOS inspection flight for overhead lines in Saxony was carried out over a distance of approximately 40 kilometers. We were thus able to demonstrate once again the applicability and benefits of drone flights in the energy sector. On the other hand, FlyNex successfully participated in the Medifly project of the BMVI, and the test flights at the beginning of February were completed without any problems.

2019

Market Presence Expanded

Among other things, FlyNex was prominently represented at Interaerial Solutions and Deutscher Energiekongress. In addition to various pilot projects with companies from a wide range of industries and initial business activities in other European countries, we significantly expanded our market presence in Germany. We reached new customer groups with our solution.

Focused On Further Growth

Both our activities at our sites and the development of the drone market as a whole increased significantly in 2019. Among other things, our end-user solution Map2Fly was accessed by more than 100,000 users, and the location rule queries have been used by more than 10 million since the beginning.

Further expansion of functionalities, optimized user interfaces, and expansion of the map solution are planned for the future.

2018

New Software Release

Combining several developed modules and data, FlyNex has released the first ready-to-use flight planning software for drones. As the market leader for unmanned aviation geospatial data in Germany, new products and functionalities such as APIs and apps are now to follow.

2017

Release of Map2Fly & New Venture Capital

After demonstrating the solution’s relevance, growing the company, joining the SpinLab Accelerator, and moving the headquarters to Leipzig, FlyNex secured a sustained seed investment to accelerate its growth and improve the overall product and technology stack.
The BETA version of the most advanced, detailed, and mature mapping solution for drones in Germany was released, bringing tens of thousands of drone pilots to the app overnight.

2016

First Prototype & Award for FlyNex

When we developed the application from scratch, we created a prototype of a map for drone flight planning with almost no resources. FlyNex has shown that companies can undertake complex drone projects without flying knowledge. As one of the 16 most innovative companies in Hamburg, FlyNex has received funding from the city of Hamburg to advance its solution and develop software that automatically implements flight planning and approval procedures for drones.

2015

Opening Hamburg Office

Many companies were struggling with drone management and looking for a solution. FlyNex was founded with the idea of bringing automated workflows for drone data projects to different industries for any type of application.
